Sound Therapy
1:1 Sessions

TESTIMONIALS

Sound therapy is a non-invasive way to help support health and wellbeing. There are so many benefits that can be achieved including reduced stress and anxiety, muscle tension release, physical pain management, as well as an increased sense of wellbeing and positive mood. Ana Lucia uses The BAST (British Academy of Sound Therapy) method of Holistic Voice Therapy, developed over 25 years, offering two approaches: passive (lie down and receive treatment) and dynamic (involving voice, breath, movement, visualization and vocal processing techniques).

The goal is to help you process whatever you’re working through. Reflective practice is integrated, allowing you to share how you feel during the session, guiding Ana Lucia to tailor the experience to your needs.

This session is deeply personalized, offering a safe and supportive space for exploration and healing. Combining passive and active approaches allows for a balanced experience of relaxation and self-empowerment.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A SESSION?

 1. Arrival and Intention Setting

The session begins with a brief conversation to explore your physical, emotional, or mental state. Together, we’ll identify areas of focus, such as reducing stress, managing pain, self-confidence, improve current relationships, fostering creativity or whatever your focus is at the moment.

2. Passive Sound Therapy Interventions

In this phase, you’ll experience deeply restorative sound vibrations where you will receive a treatment of gentle tones and overtones (harmonic singing) in a technique designed to place you into a deep state of relaxation similar to deep meditation. The BAST research has shown that many physical, emotional and mental health benefits can be achieved using this approach.

Benefits: Passive sound therapy helps release tension, improve focus, and calm the nervous system by inducing a state of relaxation.

3. Active Sound Therapy Interventions – Vocal Processing Techniques

Active sound therapy invites your participation, encouraging self-expression and deeper connection with your inner self. You will be guided through a series of vocal processing techniques, where you will use voice, breath, movement and visualization exercises that are relevant to your specific symptoms/situation. Simple breath and vocal exercises help you explore the healing potential of your voice. This process is helpful to release energy blockages and foster a sense of empowerment.

Benefits: Active sound therapy helps increase self-awareness, boost confidence, and release suppressed emotions. As well as the research BAST has conducted, revealed that singing has been shown to increase salivary Immunoglobulin A – one of the body’s primary defense mechanisms.

4. Integration and Closing

We’ll discuss any insights or feelings that arose, as well as suggestions for self-care practices to continue your healing journey.
